Abstract

The objective of this study was to determine the relative abundance and diversity index of dragonflies and damselflies in the Suranadi Nature Recreation Park (TWA), West Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara. The sampling area was divided into six transects. This study employed a descriptive-exploratory research design. Samples were collected using insect sweep nets, with the capturing process conducted during the morning and afternoon. The observation results revealed that 15 species were recorded. These 15 species belong to four families, namely Aeshnidae, Coenagrionidae, Libellulidae, and Platycnemididae. The highest relative abundance (RA) was found in the species Orthetrum sabina (Libellulidae) at 44.53%. The dragonfly diversity index (H') was 1.96.
