Abstract

Waste is a very complex and very widespread problem today. It does not only occur in residential areas but can occur in areas that have dense residents, one of which is school areas including the Ittihadul Abror NWDI Mercapada Islamic Boarding School Foundation, which is a private school founded in 2015. The type of research carried out is research. descriptive quantitative. Descriptive quantitative research is a type of research that aims to describe or describe certain phenomena or variables in a population or sample using quantitative data. In this research, researchers collect numerical data or explain the characteristics, distribution, or relationships between variables without manipulating or intervening with these variables. Based on the analysis, the generation of waste generated at the Ittihadul Abror NWDI Mercapada Islamic Boarding School Foundation is 731.5 ltr/day, based on a volume of 6.57 kg/day. The average weight of waste produced is 0.003 kg/person/day, with a volume of 0.44 ltr/person. The composition of the waste that is mostly produced is other plastic waste at 15.7%, paper at 14.69% and the composition of waste that is produced the least is newspaper waste and other types of metal waste at less than 1%.
