PELATIHAN PEMBUATAN DODOL NANAS SEBAGAI UPAYA PENINGKATAN NILAI TAMBAH DAN NILAI JUAL PRODUK NANAS BAGI PEMUDA DESA JURIT KABUPATEN LOMBOK TIMUR TAHUN 2025

Abstract

Jurit Village, East Lombok Regency, has considerable agricultural potential, particularly pineapple commodities, which are mostly marketed as fresh fruit with relatively low selling prices. This condition causes the economic potential of pineapples to remain underutilized. Therefore, efforts are needed to increase added value through pineapple-based product processing that can provide greater economic benefits to the community, especially village youth. This community service activity aimed to improve the knowledge and skills of youth in Jurit Village in processing pineapples into pineapple dodol as a value-added product with higher market value. The methods used in this program included socialization, training, demonstrations, hands-on practice, and mentoring. The activity was implemented as one of the 2025 Community Service Program (KKN) activities of Mandalika University of Education (Undikma) involving village youth as participants. The results showed that participants were able to understand and practice the process of producing pineapple dodol, starting from raw material selection, processing techniques, and product packaging. In addition, participants gained knowledge regarding business opportunities and marketing strategies for processed pineapple products. The activity successfully enhanced participants’ skills and encouraged entrepreneurial interest based on local resources. Therefore, pineapple dodol production training can serve as an alternative community empowerment program to increase the added value and selling value of pineapples while strengthening the local economy of Jurit Village.
