PELATIHAN DASAR MENGGUNAKAN BAHASA INGGRIS BAGI SISWA DI DESA SEMBALUN LAWANG

Abstract

English training at the elementary level for students in Sembalun Lawang Village, East Lombok Regency aims to improve basic English skills for elementary school children in a fun way, namely by singing while learning and collecting existing English vocabulary in learning basic English, both aspects of listening, speaking, reading, and writing. This training lasted for the duration of the training involving a number of student participants from elementary school education levels. The results of this community service show that participants were very enthusiastic in participating in the training activities provided and they were able to practice and speak with the knowledge they gained, both from listening, writing, and even they were able to pronounce vocabulary and sentences using English that they had mastered during their English learning by the community service team. This ability cannot be separated from the existence of various supporting factors including interesting teaching methods, support from parents and the community, and students' enthusiasm for learning. so that this training has a positive impact on basic English mastery and can be a model for similar programs in other villages.
