Abstract

TWA Suranadi is located in Narmada District, West Lombok regency, 17 km from Mataram city. TWA Suranadi area has relatively intact forest condition with relatively flat topography and within its forest area, there are many trail roads and paths. Herpetofauna derived from the word herpeton is a reptile. The study was conducted on Sunday 8 April 2018. The method used in herpetofauna research is the Visual Encounter Survey (VES) method in which all group members walk in an area or habitat to search for animals. Based on research conducted at the location of Nature Park Suranadi obtained results that species Hylarana eritraea are very dominate compared with other species. Based on observation data can be seen that the value of diversity index (H ') herpetofauna in TWA Suranadi area using Shanoon - Wiener (H') index and the result is 2.07. This means that herprtofauna at the study site (Taman Wisata Alam Suranadi) has a high diversity. This high biodiversity is related to environmental conditions and other biotic and abiotic factors present in the area of the environment.
